Main Activities:

Evaluate and assess the current IT Systems,
utilization, spare capacity and growth projection
and Review applications and align with international
best practices and similar international companies
which transmit, distribute and retail electrical
energy.

Assess
inventory, geographical distribution, utilization,
spare capacity and growth projection
and the supporting human resource capacity.

Recommend any changes required in the applications
in use. The recommended solution should amongst
other features Where possible, incorporate web-based
operations to provide Customer Services and to
interact with Suppliers, Contractors and Job
Applicants, amongst others

Eliminate high integration costs and the need to
purchase third-party software.

Give employees new ways to access the enterprise
information required for their daily activities on a
real time basis.

Provide dashboards that display critical (KPIs)
information for decision makers on a continuous
basis.

Have a library of predefined reports with the
ability to modify queries.
-
Include consolidation and presentation of data in
graphical form without resorting to external
systems.
-
Have links to spreadsheet and other database tools
for manipulation of data and formatting of reports.

Systematic understanding and documentation of
functionalities and processes, and will also allow
gaps (functionality gaps, technology gaps, process
gaps , skill-set gaps, etc) to be identified within
the existing system.

SSGC Manpower Placement Project (Customer Care &
Billing - CC&B ) |

SSGC is a public limited company listed on the Karachi,
Lahore and Islamabad Stock Exchanges with 60.43 percent
direct share holding by the Government of Pakistan
(GOP). It has an authorized capital of Rs.10 billion, of
which Rs. 6.7 billion is issued and fully paid up and
managed by an autonomous Board of Directors having
overall control. Presently, SSGC's Board has 14 members
drawn both from the public and private sectors. The
Managing Director/Chief Executive is nominated by the
GOP and has been delegated with such powers by the Board
of Directors as are necessary to effectively conduct the
business of the Company. SSGC has
successfully migrated its billing, customer care,
metering and other customer-related functions to
Oracle(r) Utilities Customer Care and Billing. The
Professional at SSGC integrate business processes,
aligning them with industry benchmarks and
industry-leading practices.

Director for Sui Southern Gas Company said that "I take

A Team of 45+ was deputed at SSGC to
facilitate SSGC in deploying and implementing Customer
Care & Billing - CC&B System effectively. |

National Development Finance Co-operation |
VMS has
developed Random Draw of Double Crore Pati Scheme which is
a well secured software designed for National Development
Finance Co-operation (NDFC) for their Random Draw using
Microsoft Access and Visual Basic. The higher and
technical management of NDFC has profusely appreciated the
software.
NDFC had developed a software of Working Capital Finance
integration - WCF but it was not working / operational and
required a lot of improvements & expertise. The Management
of NDFC had decided to develop and upgrade software by the
external source to save time. For this purpose Vital
Management Services was selected and awarded the task.
Vital Management Services accepted the challenge and
deputed experienced and professional team for this
project. Initially VMS started working on the
rectification of about 38 observations but after
evaluating the points, which were more than 150. Even then
VMS had completed the task at the same cost & almost
within the agreed time frame as his promising behavior.

|
Kohinoor Energy Limited, 120-MW Power Plant, Raiwind,
Lahore
In September-2003, Kohinoor
Energy Limited had appointed VMS - Vital
Management Services (Private) Limited as Outsourcing
Company for Software Development & Information
Technology activities.
CEO of VMS is the Project Controller who is responsible
to plan & control the overall project operations & take
appropriate remedial actions in case of any hurdles or
delay factors in execution or completion of applications
Microsoft & Open Source Technologies will be merged to
develop a Product for KEL in Particular and Power Sector
in General using Web Based Integrated Develop
Environment (IDE). The Source Code & Technical
Documentations of all modules to be developed at KEL
will be the property of KEL & VMS jointly and both the
organizations will have the rights to use/replicate the
modules like the open source products. However VMS will
have the exclusive selling rights.
VMSApps, MP2/DataStream & Lot of Customized Applications
are running at KEL.

In May-2004 AES had appointed VMS - Vital Management
Services (Private) Limited
as Outsourcing Company for Customized Software
Development & Training
Besides the
above-mentioned systems, VMS has also developed a good
number of software packages like Employee Payroll System,
Financial Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting, Employee
Information System, Stores Inventory System, Project
Monitoring System, Work Order System, Management
Information System etc
